Cumbria Opera Festival 2025 Auditions

The Cumbria Opera Festival 2025 will be ten days of Operas, Concerts, and Education Workshops throughout the most beautiful area of Britain. Following the Cumbria Opera Group's Opera Festivals in 2021 and 2023, both critically-acclaimed by international publications, the 2025 Festival will be even more exciting, engaging, and accessible: we will show that Opera is for everyone, and for everywhere.
 

Bookmarking the Festival are two full-scale Opera Productions: Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (new English Translation) and Britten's The Turn of the Screw.

The Marriage of Figaro

Rehearsals from 11th August
Performances on 29th & 30th August

All Artists will be paid in accordance with ITC Rates
Rehearsal Location is to be confirmed upon casting, but most rehearsals will take place in Cumbria.
Full board and lodgings will be provided to the Casts for the Cumbria rehearsal period.
 

Audition Details
 

Deadline for Online Submission: 15th January, 5pm
Notification of Artists shortlisted for Audition: 30th January (at the latest)

London Audition Day: Saturday 15th February
Cumbria Audition Day: Sunday 23rd February
